Merrily, She Rolls Along

Livi Pappadopoulos appeared in FACES IN THE CROWD in the Oct. 2, 2017, issue after earning the girls' U.S. amateur log rolling title for the fifth straight time. Now a 17-year-old junior at Holmen (Wis.) High, Livi (far right) turned pro in June—and extended her run of dominance against women as much as a decade older. Starting with the midwest championship in June in Madison, Wis., the top-ranked female log roller in the country went undefeated in six events this season, including taking the women's pro world title in July, where she knocked off the defending champion. She finished her season with a victory at the Minnesota state championships; she last lost a match five years ago. Only the third log roller to appear in FACES, Livi also started an annual rolling tournament in her hometown.
