Hannah Henry appeared in FACES IN THE CROWD in the Jan. 15, 2018, issue after winning the NCAA triathlon title, which led to her being named the Division I USA Triathlon freshman of the year. Now a sophomore at Arizona State, Henry is at it again: In November the Victoria, B.C., native repeated as national champion, completing her 750-meter swim, 20K bike and 5K run at Tempe Town Lake in Arizona in 1:01.54. (As also happened last fall, two teammates joined her on the podium, with junior Charlotte Ahrens repeating her second-place result, helping the Sun Devils claim a third straight title.) Henry, who has competed on every continent except Antarctica, finished third at the Triathlon American Championships in Brasília, Brazil, in June; fifth at the Sprint Triathlon American Cup in Magog, Canada, in July; and 12th two months later at the World Triathlon Grand Final in Gold Coast, Australia. Among women born in 1999, she is the fifth-ranked triathlete in the world.
