TIGER'S BACK

A NEW BEHIND-THE-SCENES DOCUMENTARY CHRONICLES THE COMEBACK SEASON OF GOLF'S MOST INTRIGUING PERFORMER

TIGER WOODS: RETURN OF THE ROAR

Dec. 30, 9 p.m. ET on ESPN

At this time last year, Tiger Woods was in the midst of a title drought that was approaching five years, and he had played in just two PGA Tour events in 2017 after sitting out '16 while recovering from back surgery. But the fact that his future looked so bleak only made this past season—highlighted by his first victory since '13, his best major finish since '09 and the reemergence of his mojo—that much more electrifying.

"It's hard to climb back up there and do it again," Woods says in a new documentary from ESPN and PGA Tour Entertainment. The film—featuring interviews with Woods, his fellow pros and his caddie, Joe LaCava—explores the 14-time major champion's exhilarating comeback season, climaxing with his win at the Tour Championship in September. It's the most vivid look yet at how an all-time great recaptured his magic.
