Winning Legacy

Olivia Barnhill (right), a goalkeeper at Williams College, made six saves in a 1--0 victory over Chicago for the 2017 Division III title, the second in three years for the Ephs. That performance earned her a place in the Dec. 18, 2017 edition of FACES IN THE CROWD. A year later Barnhill led the Ephs to another national championship, with one save in a 1--1 game against Middlebury that ended in penalty kicks; Barnhill's final stop at UNC Greensboro Stadium sealed the victory. Named a Scholar All-America for her coursework in biology and psychology, Barnhill allowed just 11 goals in 24 games this season and finished her career with an 0.47 goals-against average. The New York City native is part of a senior class at Williams that finished with a four-year record of 80-4-9, including three D-III championships.
